Moranda Johnson

Manager, Wedding Coordinator & Logistical Genius

I started out 14 years ago working in long term care. As my circumstances changed after starting a family, I was looking for something new and fate dropped me here at The Curly Red Head. With my previous education giving me the skill set required to take wonderful care of people, I also learned how to become a logistical genius. Whether you're an every day client or a bride on her journey to her wedding day, I work hard to ensure all our clients are taken care of.  From delightfully answering the phone, to a splendid head massage during your hair wash, I strive to take excellent care of not only our clients but my colleagues too!

Precision Cutting & Colouring

I knew since day one I was going to be a hair stylist. Didn't matter what anyone said, that was the plan. I went to school at St. Lawrence College in Kingston, graduated with honours and made it onto the merit list for highest grade point average. After working in salons for a few years, I made my way across the ocean to being a stylist on cruise ships. After some time gaining experience in Europe, I jumped ship & got my MAC makeup artistry certificate. Over the years I took a makeup course in NYC and continue to keep current with today's trends. I am always happy, when everyone else is happy. I  work hard to ensure whomever is in my chair, leaves with a smile on their face.

Alexis Donaldson (lexi)

Stylist Apprentice

Born and raised on the outskirts of Perth, I worked hard and got myself into college for hotel management originally. Deciding I was much more cut out for Hairstyling, I switched things up & went to  Algonquin College in Ottawa to become a hairstylist. I have completed my schooling and am now an apprentice at The Curly Red Head. Working closely with Amy to learn and absorbe as much knowledge as I can. My goal is to also take the makeup artistry course next year as well as getting my stylist license. In my free time I also manage a restaurant and have gained so many skills that transfer wonderfully into this career.  I am a people person as well as a quick learner and can't wait to see what all this industry has to offer.
